Kévin had asked what plan I would prefer and helped me by narrowing out the options: 1. restaurant, 2. tennis, 3. beach. My mind immediately thought, “I want him to know me casually, no make-up and no formalities…” so I almost immediately answered I preferred the beach. Since the beginning, it came naturally for us to make plans, without any complications. I could already perceive a very laid-back, practical man and I have to say that since the beginning there was a strong positive energy were things went smoothly.

It was on a beautiful sunny Miami day of April 18, 2015 when we rode Kévin’s scooter to the beach watching the amazing coastline. I remember the warm yet refreshing wind blowing on our faces, my arms holding tight to his shoulders and a little voice whispering in my ear, “He is the one”.

As we arrived to our destination, we had already talked about so many things, I felt like I had known Kévin for a thousand years. Everything was so natural and it was like if we were old friends catching up on 27 years of events: happy events, sad events, accomplishment events, failure events, entrepreneurship events.

As we laid on the sand from 10:30 am talking about infinite amounts of things, we decided it was time for lunch… but when we looked at the clock we realized, it was time for dinner. Seven hours had passed like 2 hours…our connection was so strong and so unbreakable.

As we walked down Lincoln road looking randomly for a place to eat, there was a magical feeling in the air. We felt so familiar with each other that I could tell we both wanted to hold hands, however, we had only known each other for hours! So we both kept our space and let ourselves be surrounded by the great weather and Lincoln Road hype with its shops, restaurants and music. Life was suddenly so easy and…complete.

We sat down to eat at this sushi place called Doraku and we found ourselves planning for many activities that “we needed” to do. As we enjoyed our meal we looked into each other’s eyes and knew we would never let go of each other.
