pedida de mano

The “Pedida de Mano” is an old tradition in which the bride and the groom formally state their intention of getting married in a small reunion with their families. In our case, Caro’s parents hosted a small event at their house during our first trip to Ecuador and it was a great way to meet all of Caro’s family. Unfortunately, this trip was so short that my family wasn’t able to travel from France, however we did have a Skype meeting the day after in order to digitally introduce our parents. It was a small but memorable event!
